Meet The Doctor
Dr. Dori Freeland grew up in northern Michigan, until moving to Holland, MI to complete her pre-dental studies at Hope College. Dr. Freeland attended dental school at the University of Michigan where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduation, she entered the orthodontic residency program at the University of Detroit Mercy where she completed here Master of Science in Orthodontics. In 2008, Dr. Freeland completed a two year continuing education course focused on the study, diagnosis and treatment of jaw function and temporal mandibular joint health.
In October of 2004, Dr. Freeland started Freeland Orthodontics here in Lake Orion, MI. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontics. She is also a current diplomat of The American Board of Orthodontics and is an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School.
Dr. Freeland has three children, Gage, Austin and Marlee. When she is not in the office or spending time with her family, Dr. Freeland’s other passion is fitness and ballroom dancing. Dr. Freeland also enjoys training and competing in many types of events ranging from adventure races to triathlons and marathons.
